New kid on the footwear block Chillikids is returning to the Australian Shoe Fair with an expanded brand offering, following its launch last year. Chillikids founder Bettina Parker confirmed the brand had witnessed strong demand for its kids' sneakers since launching in summer 2009.
"Our summer 10 line will be shown at the shoe fair and will include a number of extensions to the brand," she said.
he Australian Shoe Fair would see the brand promoting an expanded offering including bags, backpacks, totes, overnight holdalls and hats to co-ordinate with the Chillikids footwear line.
Parker spent 20 years as a footwear buyer for department stores before working as general manager for a number of leading international footwear brands. Her experience enabled her to spot a gap in the children's footwear market for contemporary, casual canvas styles suited to Australian kids' lifestyles. Chillikids was created to offer "fantastic value without any compromise to quality" allowing access to classic shoes that were more affordable than expensive overseas brands.
Named after a blend of Parker's children's names, Lilli & Charlie, the Sydney based brand is designed utilising modern styling in a range of colours based on the latest international trends.
