Minime fills bigger shoes

3 February 2010

Minime Sydney is taking strides in its bid to target the adult market. Having started life as a children's range, the brand now offers a line of "grown up" shoes, with gladiator sandals topping the bill amid a range of on-trend styles.

Founder and designer Kari Louise Maitz launched the brand under the guidance of paediatric podiatrists, to ensure maximum comfort and support for children's feet. Described as "fun, functional and comfortable shoes for kids" - the brand has built a strong following with shoes that withstand the active lives of children.

Minime Sydney supports registered charity Cornflowerblue in its drive to promote zero landfill. The company invites children who have outgrown their shoes to donate them to Cornflowerblue's foundation, which then distributes them to children in need in India.

Minime will exhibit for the first time at the Australian Shoe Fair in Sydney from 14-16 February, following the successful launch of its collection at the Melbourne Australian Shoe Fair in 2009.
