Fab shoes go on show

25 June 2010

Wholesale company Fabz Frontier has expanded its Fabz foldable shoe range to include event and bridal styles. Director Loretta Ashby confirmed the new Pearl by Fabz line would be a focal point of the brand's stand at Australian Shoe Fair.

"The new line currently includes around five styles and we are anticipating more, between five and 10, to be showcased at the fair," she said.

"The Fabz brand was launched at Melbourne Australian Shoe Fair in 2009, offering a higher end folding shoe featuring leather uppers and lining and retailing for $79 to $89. We're now coming back to the Melbourne fair with a bigger offer, with a view to extending our stockist base."

Fabz Frontier was also looking to expand the penetration of its other key brand Esther Perez through its presence at the fair. Comprising high quality, design-led women's shoes, Esther Perez would target the high end boutique market with a view to further expansion. The move follows its recent coup in securing an account at high end concession Cosmo Couture, located at Designers' House in Melbourne's Docklands.

"Esther Perez is very much a high end brand so we would want to keep its stockist base fairly tight; probably about 10 to 15 stockists nationally," Ashby said.

Fabz, Fabz Pearl and Esther Perez will be showcased at Australian Shoe Fair from 29-31 August at Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
