New kids join fun of the fair

Two new children's brands hailing from the US are preparing to take on the Australian market for the first time when they showcase their product lines at the forthcoming Australian Shoe Fair.

Brought to these shores by importer Naughty Little Monkeys, pre-school brand Livie and Luca (pictured left) and classic kid's shoe brand Twig (pictured right) would fill a gap in the market for high quality footwear at affordable prices, said Naughty Little Monkeys' Michelle Davis.

"Livie and Luca is aimed at pre-school kids from sizes 4 to 13. The brand offers beautiful soft leather, great comfort and a range of very distinctive designs," she said, adding that with retail prices ranging from $64.95 for summer shoes to $74.95 for winter shoes and $79.85 for boots, affordability would also prove a strong drawcard.

Meanwhile, classic shoe brand Twig was aimed at pre-schoolers through to teens, and with sizes up to 40, was specifically designed to fill the gap for footwear catering to bigger feet in the children's market. Made from high quality leather and leather lined, Twig shoes hailed from a family run factory in Mexico that adhered to high quality standards.

Livie and Luca and Twig will be showcased for the first time at the Australian Shoe Fair, taking place from 29-31 August at Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
